Aroma
Cucumber and Mint
This is one of the most popular unisex fragrances. A combination of freshly cut cucumber offering transparent melon notes blended with freshly crushed mint leaves offer a revitalising and uplifting fragrance. Due to being so popular we have created a range of Hotel Amenities in 30ml tubes.
Macadamia Oil Information
This magical oil is the closest of plant origin to that of the pH of our skin.
It is also the highest in monosaturated fatty acids (80 %), which provide superior moisturising qualities particularly for very dry or damaged skin.
Another key ingredient is palmitoleic acid, which promotes soft and supple skin. (As we get older our bodies produce less palmitoleic acid so regular use of products containing macadamia oil helps prevent premature aging of the skin).
It has been described as “vanishing oil” due to its rapid absorption, non-clogging and non-irritating qualities. Macadamia Oil combines well with skin lipids to leave the skin soft and smooth.
Manuka Honey
(Leptospermum Scoparium Mel)
Collected from native Manuka trees on Great Barrier Island, Manuka honey has unique antibacterial properties combined with the ability to be able to soothe and heal dry and damaged skin making this a very important ingredient for the Earths Botanics.
Olive Oil Information
For centuries the benefits of olive oil, nutritionally, cosmetically and medicinally have been recognised by the people of the Mediterranean.
Hippocrates, the Greek father of medicine, even called olive oil “the great therapeutic” extolling the virtues of daily bathing and treating the skin with oil.
As time moved on, early cosmetologists recognised that the abundance of glycerides and fatty acids in olive oil make it gentle enough to use on even sensitive skin and its antioxidant properties are well respected.
However, not all olive oils are created equal. We feel it is important to let you in on a few facts about this oil we use in our MatakanaValley ranges.
Extra Virgin Oil
This is the finest quality oil, which has an acidity rating of less than 1% and organoleptic (sensory perception: eg taste & aroma) rating of 6.5 out of 10 or more (International Olive Oil Council parameters rating).
Cold Pressed
A traditional process where the olives are pressed once, using no heat or chemicals to produce totally virgin oil which retains all natural flavours, vitamins and beneficial minerals which can reflect the region it is from (Similar to wine). 100kg of olives produce around 10 litres of oil!

- Extremely moisturising and is similar to the lipids of the skin. Ideal for dry and damaged skin.
- Very high Vitamin E content (antioxidant) which assists to prevent body cell aging.
- High Pro-Vitamin A content (helps skin to remain soft and plump and improves the skin's water barrier properties).
I recently used your cucumber and mint products while on a holiday in New Zealand. They were supplied in our room and I actually purchased an extra pack at reception.
I have been really happy with them and they have cleared up some severe sun damage on my face that I was scheduled to have burnt off. So I am really happy that I have avoided that.
The body lotion also healed some sunburn I had at the time.

When I was in New Zealand earlier in the year, the motel I stayed in provided shampoo and conditioner. It was the nicest shampoo and conditioner that I have ever used!! I was talking to a girl friend and she stayed in NZ the previous year and she said she used the same product and agreed that it was a fantastic product.
